Act for a Change: Improvising Answers to Hate Speech

  • Open Book 1011 Washington Avenue South Minneapolis, MN, 55415 United States (map)

Act for a Change: Improvising Answers to Hate Speech is a workshop created for allies of people experiencing hate speech. It will combine theatre improvisation*, and Nonviolent Communication techniques to help us find the words to disrupt hate speech wherever we find it. We want to speak up, but sometimes we don’t know what to say.

*You won’t be expected to perform; you can participate at whatever level of involvement is comfortable – from audience member to actor – the choice is up to you.

Created in partnership with: Dream Lab, Jewish Community Action, Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood and zAmya Theater

Sunday, April 27th, 2:00pm – 5:00pm CST at Open Book, 1011 Washington Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55415
