Join us for a community Supper & Showcase featuring poems, songs and storytelling!
Throughout May and June, zAmya Troupe Members have been facilitating the workshops and helping Little Falls community members develop their personal stories about housing and housing instability into monologues, scenes, poems and songs. Some of these will very likely be in our fall tour around Central Minnesota of A Prairie Homeless Companion. (Details about the project here.)
Right now we want to celebrate all the amazing work people have been doing in the workshops by inviting everyone to come check out their labors of love at a free community event on Saturday, June 10th from 5:00-8:00pm at Great River Arts (122 1st St SE, Little Falls, MN 56345).
Doors open at 4:30pm. The showcase performance will start at 5pm, and be followed by a meal and time to socialize.
All are welcome, including children ages 10+. Childcare is available for younger kids if parents register in advance.
ASL interpretation will be provided.
People with lived experience of homelessness are especially invited, and will be thanked with a $20 Walmart gift card.
Complete details are on our website. Registration is encouraged but not required.
