Community Workshop for A Prairie Homeless Companion

Little Falls! Everyone has a housing story. We invite you to share yours.

Oasis Central Minnesota, PlaceBase Productions and zAmya Theater Project are seeking participants and stories for a creative workshop series creating content for A Prairie Homeless Companion, a live performance and broadcast in Central Minnesota, set to tour this fall.

Participants will be invited to share these in a showcase at the end of the workshops and submit them for inclusion in A Prairie Homeless Companion fall performance and podcast.

Modeled after the well-known radio show A Prairie Home Companion, A Prairie Homeless Companion is both humorous satire and serious look at housing instability in Greater MN. The show will be touring Central Minnesota this fall and YOU can be in it!

Complete information can be found here.

DATES AND TIMES

Workshops will be held Saturdays from Noon-3pm on:

  • May 6th, 13th, 20th

  • June 3rd

Dress rehearsal is Friday, June 9th @ 5-8pm (for performers only)

Supper & Showcase is Saturday, June 10 @ 5-8pm (performers called earlier)

Participating in workshops won’t commit you to performing in the showcase or the fall performance. But it is a great way to learn more about the project and decide if you want to become more involved!
