Join zAmya for the sixth season of Homeless Network Newz, virtual creative performances highlighting stories, experiences and the creative contributions of people who have experienced homelessness. Season 6 Episode 3: “To Our Health”
Nov. 18 @ 7:00 PM
We dig into mental health and homelessness, diabetes, how some medical professionals are using theater to challenge the system, and art’s innate ability to heal. Hosted by Corey Walton, including zAmya troupe members, our friends from DHomes, and Campaign Against Racism.

Episode 3 is sponsored by the Twin Cities chapter of The Campaign Against Racism, which works to dismantle structural racism and its effects on health around the world by supporting local actions, efforts, and networks which aim to improve the health and lives of those most affected by racism, because racism kills. This episode also happens on Give to the Max Day, Minnesota’s annual “day of giving”. zAmya hopes to raise $2,000, and our board of directors is offering to match your gifts up to that amount dollar-for-dollar! Gifts made during the show also automatically enter you in a drawing to win one of two zAmya prize packs that each include a soft zAmya hoodie and a customized stainless steel zAmya water bottle! Gifts can be made online here. Thank you!!

zAmya began creating Homeless Network Newz episodes with zAmya troupe members as a way of using storytelling to engage with each other during COVID-19 and create awareness about current issues facing people experiencing homelessness. zAmya aims to inspire people to advocate for short and long term solutions to the housing crisis in Minnesota.
